Featured Guests

Meet the people who have shared their stories, craft and experience on TeaTalk Podcast.

Our guests come from across Pakistani theatre, comedy, television, music and the wider creative industries — alongside writers, entrepreneurs and storytellers from the UK and the South Asian diaspora. Some are well-known names; others are people whose work happens behind the scenes and rarely gets attention in mainstream press.

Each profile below links to the full episode (or episodes) the guest appeared in, so you can jump straight from a name to the actual conversation. Where guests have public social profiles, those links sit on their card too.

How guests are selected

We don't book guests by follower count or PR cycle. We look for four things.

A real story to tell

Someone who has done the work — built a body of writing, performances, productions or projects — and can talk about it in detail rather than in soundbites.

Willing to go long

We need at least 60 to 90 minutes. Guests who only want a 15-minute promo slot for a new project aren't a fit for the show, even if we admire their work.

Comfortable being honest

We don't ambush guests, but we do ask real questions. Guests who only want fully scripted, pre-approved answers usually don't enjoy the format.

Adds something new

We try not to repeat the same conversation twice. If a guest's story has already been told well elsewhere, we either find a different angle or pass.

Think you fit the criteria? You can pitch yourself or someone you know via the contact page or the guest application form in the header.
